Babak Jalali in post-production of 'Land' – the project he presented at SOFIA MEETINGS 2012

In 2012 Babak Jalali presented his second feature film project 'Land' at the 9th edition of SOFIA MEETINGS. The film, now a co-production between Italy, France, The Netherlands and Mexico, is in post-production and will be released in 2017. 

'Radio Dreams' – Jalali’s newest film – will be a part of SIFF’s Grand Prizes programme along with 'The Happiest Day In The Life of Olli Mӓki', 'I, Daniel Blake', 'It's Not The Time Of My Life' and 'The Woman Who Left'. Right after its premiere at the IFF Rotterdam, 'Radio Dreams' won the festival’s Hivos Tiger Award. Since then the film has been selected by more than 35 festivals worldwide and has won another three awards - for Best Actor at Durban IFF, Special Jury Mention at Seattle IFF and Best Director at Zerkalo IFF.
