FIRST FILMS FIRST is an intensive professional training program aimed at supporting young Southeast European film directors to develop their first feature-length fiction film.
FIRST FILMS FIRST consists of 4 modules, over a period of one year, which allow the participants to develop their first feature film project, step-by-step, through different phases of project development.

The program provides participants with:

mentorship by renowned European film professionals through different phases of development of the first feature film project
the necessary arts and crafts required to enter the professional international scene
first-hand insight and practical knowledge about the ever-changing contemporary European film-making world
contacts with some of the most important European decision makers, auteurs and experts

EAVE is one of the leading producers’ training programmes in Europe with a unique network of over 2300 producers. Over the last years, we have been revising our existing training offer and creating new workshop programmes to continuously strengthen the European independent production and to contribute to its sustainability and competitiveness by reinforcing the producer’s creative, managerial and financial capacity to compete successfully in European and global markets.

MFI Script 2 Film Workshops is an advanced script & project development program focusing on “story design” in Narrative feature films, series and documentary projects. MFI Script 2 Film Workshops offers three separate platforms (Film Lab, Series Lab, Doc Lab) for story design development and implementation, all of them taking place simultaneously on the Greek islands of Nisyros & Rhodes, as well as online. Each Platform has 2 residential and 2 online sessions per year offering a consecutive 1-year period of carefully planned follow-up initiatives.

MFI Script 2 Film Workshops allows professionals from three major areas of the audiovisual industry, the unique possibility to work side by side, participate in each other’s masterclasses, lectures or plenary sessions and discuss their ideas of story design both officially and unofficially, providing networking opportunities and synergies with a potential to lead in European and International collaborations.

TorinoFilmLab is a year-round laboratory that supports international talents by combining training & development programmes to funding activities.

It offers 3 annual programmes for professionals with feature film & TV series projects and for story editor trainees, plus a variety of professional workshops with the online scheme TFL Next. Thanks to the support of Creative Europe – MEDIA, two funds are dedicated to the production and distribution of international co-productions: the TFL Co-Production Fund and the TFL Audience Design FundAdditional grants & prizes are assigned during the co-production forum TFL Meeting Event.

TorinoFilmLab is powered by Museo Nazionale del Cinema with the support of the Creative Europe – MEDIA Sub-programme of the European Union, MiBACT – Ministero dei Beni e delle Attività Culturali e del Turismo, Regione Piemonte and Città di Torino.

New approach in script-development - Use limitations!

A restricted budget is not only a challenge but also an opportunity. Clever limitations strategies help bring out a filmmaker’s unique imprint, giving his or her work a strong advantage in an overcrowded market.

With its 14 year of experience and its applied research Think Tank, Le Groupe Ouest has become the n°1 place in Europe in the field of script-development workshops, with over 900 screenwriters from 70 countries coached in residency.
Le Groupe Ouest team has generated a new perspective on script development, helping writers and filmmakers to gain time, intensity and meaning through their development process.

Funded by Creative Europe MEDIA, the LIM | Less is More training programme has been set up to empower a generation of filmmakers on opening new avenues and finding new audiences by tackling new issues.
How can a consistent prewriting step and the introduction of healthy constraints accelerate the script development work?

Target group: Writers, Directors & Producers
Masterclass by Antoine Le Bos, Artistic Director of Le Groupe Ouest.
